Eden Police Department News Release • May 8, 2025 • Lt. D. Stepps
On 05/07/2025 at approximately 3:23 pm, the Eden Police Department was dispatched to a call in reference to shots fired in the area of E. Arbor Ln. and Linden Dr. According to witnesses, a white SUV and a black SUV were involved in the incident. After an extensive investigation, the Eden Police Department has charged Javen Orlando Hairston 23, of 258 Elaines Drive, Stoneville N.C., for the following:
• Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill (Felony)
• Possession of a Firearm by Felon (Felony)
• Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle (Felony)
Hairston was transported to the Rockingham County Jail where he is being held with No Bond. Javen Orlando Hairston is to appear in Wentworth District Court on May, 22nd, 2025 at 9:00am.
